造境計劃 Landscape Project

作品導讀─協同策展人 羅秀芝

好山好水始終是規劃美好家園的夢想藍圖，樂山樂水是智者與仁者的必備性格，而高水流水則是文人山水畫的當然要素。淡水河畔的此岸依山傍水，恰恰吻合了美麗家園的理想、仁者智者的所愛以及文人藝術的境界。

這群以明倫高中師生為主（吳達坤為校友）的藝 品，以再現風景為基礎的造境實驗手法，將玻璃瓶中的空間轉換成舞台，植入個人對於「水」的記憶、經驗或想像的召喚，藉以呈現出具體而微且各異其趣的山水風貌。參與者在「有限的器皿」中扮演造境者的角色，利用模型搭建的方法，天馬行空的創造自己的美好世界。整件作品宛如一個「境中有境」的奇異劇場。

A breathtaking environment with hills and river has always been the dream location for a beautiful home, and people of wisdom and virtue have always enjoyed such surroundings. High mountains and flowing waters are the essential elements of landscape paintings. The banks of the Danshui River are an attractive spot perfect as an ideal home, and a place favored by enlightened writers and artists.

The artworks of this group of Ming Lun Senior High School students (including Wu Ta-kun, an alumnus) are made through an experimental method based on the replication of landscapes. The space inside glass bottles is transformed into a stage, into which the artists insert their personal recollections, experiences and imaginings about water, resulting in fully realized, unique and fascinating landscape forms. Working within finite containers, participants play the role of creator, utilizing the techniques of model-building to fashion their own ideal realms. The entire work looks like a fantastic theater, a “world inside a world.”

【理念與過程 / Concept and Process】

創作形式
以再現場域為基礎的造境實驗手法，將瓶中空間轉換成舞台植入摻與者個人的對於「水」的記憶、經驗或想像的召喚。
藉以呈現出具體而微且各異其趣的山水風貌。
在這件作品中，參與者可以在「有限的器皿」中扮演造物者的角色。
利用模型搭建的方法，天馬行空的創造自己的美好世界。
作者試圖讓這件作品吊詭的形成一種「展中有展，作品中有作品」的呈現方式。



Using an experimental method to replicate landscapes, the empty space in bottles is turned into a stage of sorts, into which participants plant their memories, experiences and imaginings of water. The result is a fully realized and unique landscape form. Participants, using containers with a finite amount of space, get to play the role of nature, a creator of sorts with unfettered powers to manufacture his or her own beautiful world. Participants are also free to attempt to create an outlandish “exhibit within an exhibit” or “artwork within an artwork” style of expression.
